STOP PRESS. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak we have reluctantly cancelled the third Spring Area Special Interest Day on Monday 20th April 2020. Those of you who have booked a place and paid in advance will be contacted regarding your preference for a refund. We prefer a bank transfer, but cheques can be issued if necessary. In the case where people have booked but their payments have not yet been banked, your cheques will be destroyed or returned, as you instruct us. We also regret that the Spring Forum and AGM at Clair Hall, Haywards Heath on 3 April 2020 has been called off too. Advance payments will be refunded. Meanwhile, the Area Team will remain in touch with local societies via email. The latest inormation from TAS House can be seen here. Please note that it proscribes Area Meetings, Hub Meetings, the Directory Day and Area SIDs, trips and traning Events until 30 April 2020. The Malaga global TAS AGM in mid May has also now been cancelled. The official announcement can be seen here. Local society lectures and other events remain at the discretion their Committees. Please check your local society website.
The Arts Society works to advance decorative and fine arts education and appreciation, alongside promoting the preservation of artistic heritage. We are a UK based charity with over 91,000 members supporting a network of over 360 local Societies in the UK, Europe and Australasia.
From Chichester in the west to Hastings in the east there are twenty four individual Societies in The Arts Society Sussex Area further details of which can be found in the Societies section.
Our Societies bring together groups of like minded individuals through regular meetings, lectures by top experts. study days, visits, tours and a number of volunteering activities including Church Recording, Heritage Volunteering and our Young Arts programmes.
It is a great way to expand your knowledge of the arts as well as have fun and make new friendships.
