CANCELLATIONS ARISING FROM THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak we reluctantly cancelled the third Spring Area Special Interest Day on Monday 20th April 2020. All those who booked a place and paid in advance have been contacted regarding your preference for a refund. We also regret that the Spring Forum and AGM at Clair Hall, Haywards Heath on 3 April 2020 has been cancelled and advance payments have been refunded. You will have received the reports and the formal notice of the Area AGM proposals by email. Although the Arts Society AGM in Malaga in mid-May has also now been cancelled, (the official announcement can be seen here) it is now taking place on June 4, 2020 and will deal with the formal AGM business only. Because the Stay at Home Measures prohibit public gatherings of more than two people, Members will not be permitted to attend the AGM in person.  Local society lectures and other events which have been cancelled due to the Coronavirus will recommence when it is safe to do so at the discretion of their Committees. Please check your local society website for updates. The Area Team is meeting regularly via Zoom and updating local societies via email.
